Summary:Actor Bill Overton was born on February 26, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended the Boston English High School. Overton went on to enroll at Wake Forest University where he graduated in 1968 as a speech and drama major. He was then drafted by the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, and in 1969, was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. After a brief stint in the Canadian Football League, in 1970, Overton moved back to Boston and was hired as a sports agent for Pro Sports, Inc. In 1971, Overton started a career in modeling and helped to launch ad campaigns for various companies including Benson and Hedges and Canadian Mist. He later received acting lessons at the Lee Strausberg Institute in New York City and began a career in television and film. Overton made appearances in various sitcoms including The Red Foxx Show, 227 and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
