Leaving town alive : confessions of an arts warrior / John Frohnmayer.

Frohnmayer was appointed by President Bush to be chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts in 1989 during the height of the controversy over the Robert Mapplethorpe collection and was fired two and a half years later.
