Description
Summary:Scholar, the Simmons College Library's digital institutional repository collects, organizes, and disseminates the intellectual output of the College, including the research and scholarship of faculty. As with their peers at many educational institutions, Simmons faculty members are unaware of the services and advantages Scholar presents and see it as "extra work" for which they have neither time nor expertise. To successfully meet its goals of reaching faculty and encouraging participation, it is critical that Scholar develops and employs a strategic, audience-centric marketing and outreach plan. Through an analysis of professional literature and peer institutions, consideration of the organizational setting of Simmons College, and assessment of existing Simmons faculty impressions, an effective and comprehensive marketing plan can be designed and implemented.
