Summary:Charles E. L'Homme was a professor of English at Simmon College, Boston (1954-1992). Included in this collection are extensive research notes, course materials, class notes, correspondence, and personal academic writings. The collection documents the scholarship CEL applied in gathering teaching materials and structuring his course lectures. Also included are audio recordings of lectures. The correspondence, course evaluations, and student recommendations documents the scholarly influence and personal associations that CEL shared with his graduate and undergraduate students. Also included are class notes (11, 126, 317, 381R, 391 RS, 382, 392, Beowulf, Dante, Tristan and others), published and unpublished writings, correspondence, his dissertations, his journals (1949-ca. 1969), student course evaluations, audio tapes and letters of condolence on his death.
