These papers include written works relating to Pear's professional activities and concerns, such as work with the unemployed, with relief procedures, with desertion and non-support, the writing of Massachusetts Mother's Aid Law of 1913, the Homemaker Service, the Monday Lunch Club, and the American Red Cross. WHP's work with his two major employers, the Boston Provident Association and the Boston Children's Aid Society, is also documented. Other than a few pages of autobiographical reflections, all biographical material is limited to second hand accounts, correspondence and articles. |
